Probationary Firefighters Start Basic Operations Firefighter Certification Course

Probationary Firefighters Mitchell Horn, Jack Nale, Emma Thomas and Kyle Heubner have begun Basic Operations Firefighter certification course. The course is a hybrid course consisting of online classroom instruction along with live practical trainings held at the Sherman Fire Department. The course is hosted by the Illinois Fire Service Institute and each student will complete 220 hours of training. Thanks to these members for committing to the next step in protecting and providing a vital service to the community and the citizens of Petersburg.
